2021 27th Annual General Meeting
Wednesday 19 May 2021
On-Line Zoom meeting commencing at 7.00pm.
The GM&B Patrons’ Club Executive is determined to proceed with the 2021 AGM, but it will be a ZOOM meeting as we are still uncertain about the viability of face-to-face meetings as the majority of members are still to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
It is important that you register to attend the AGM. When you register you will be emailed a link to the Zoom meeting a couple of days in advance. At which time, it is hoped that we may be able to offer a small social occasion in the Unicorn Club for those able to attend.

MHS Memorial Hall Replacement Organ Fund
The update on the Organ Fund is that of the $11,500 necessary to cover the cost of the organ, the GM&B has so far contributed $10,910. We are still $590 below are target. Just 26 GM&B members have so far contributed, together with 4 non-members but friends of the music program at MHS.
We are now inviting final contributions from GM&B members to the Melbourne High School Foundation’s Arts & Cultural Trust to offset the cost of the organ. By adopting this approach, the Foundation will be able to offer a tax-deductible receipt for donations to its Arts & Cultural Trust that could not otherwise be offered. Donations can be for any amount, but we suggest $200 or more if that is possible. Given that the 2021 fee for GM&B membership has been waived a possible donation might be $250 or $260. GM&B donors will be acknowledged on the organ when assembled.
Please note that credit for this initiative will rest solely with the GM&B. The Foundation’s role is simply that of a facilitator.
The easiest method for GM&B members to donate is by either emailing or calling Colin Green, (0411 759 132) with your Visa/Mastercard details stating the amount you wish to donate to the MHS Foundation Replacement Organ Fund. Colin will liaise with Jodie Gunton at the MHS Foundation for payment and she will issue and email you a tax-deductible receipt.
The MHS Memorial Hall Replacement Organ Fund will be closing at the end of April. After that time further contributions will not attract tax deductibility.
Many thanks to those who have contributed to this most worthwhile appeal.
